Tom Dwan avoids having to pay $1 Million to Full Tilt Players

Following Black Friday when Full Tilt Poker got in trouble with the US Department of Justice, Tom Dwan basically guaranteed that FTP would find a way to get players their money back. Dwan was so confident in this that he guaranteed to pay $1 million of his own money to players.
However, this was put into doubt when FTP lost their gaming license and went down with over $330 million worth of player deposits. But even still, Dwan continued to back his $1 million pledge.
Now that PokerStars has bought Full Tilt Poker and player deposits are guaranteed to be returned, it looks like Dwan has dodged having to pay $1 million.
Sure it looked doubtful at times and most people probably thought that he was going to have to pay up eventually. However, the completion of this deal now saves Dwan from having to shell out $1 million.
And although the high stakes phenom could likely afford to pay $1m, he'd definitely rather use it in the Macau Big Game or elsewhere.
