Former US Full Tilt Poker Players still wondering about Money

It's now been a few weeks since PokerStars purchased Full Tilt Poker from the US Department of Justice. Now that the deal is completed, former FTP players around the world are awaiting their old deposit money.
At least rest of the world (ROW) players can take comfort in the fact that PokerStars will be paying their money back. On the other hand, American players are awaiting their money from the US DOJ, which has somehow turned out to be a more questionable proposition than Stars repaying funds.
So far, all we have to go off of now is that the US DOJ is requesting the independent help of claims administrators to facilitate payouts. But American players are still in the dark about what exactly is the process for requesting funds.
It seems as if this is more of a time-based matter than anything since the US is taking steps towards making sure players get paid. However, these steps could happen a little faster for people who are awaiting old deposits. Perhaps in the next few weeks US players will have a clear-cut idea on how to go about requesting their money back.
