A few months ago, former Baywatch star and Playboy model Pamela Anderson made some poker news when she signed on to represent BamPoker. As one of Facebook's social applications, BamPoker allows people to play free poker tournaments and even chat with Anderson herself.
The latter has motivated quite a few people to sit down at the BamPoker tables because one of the top prizes is the opportunity to play Anderson heads-up.
The blonde bombshell is pretty excited about her role as the face of the company since she said, "There is nothing like BamPoker out there today, and I am excited to be a part of such an innovative platform."
Elton Pereira, who is a co-founder of BamPoker, spoke about what else his free poker site offers by saying, "Our customers feel a sense of belonging. They are meeting people from around the world. We have the capability to allow real money (later on)."
It seems likely that BamPoker could one day become the next Zynga Poker. However, Pereira doesn't want to go the publicly-traded route that Zynga is going as he stated, "I’m quite impressed with what Zynga has accomplished over the years. Being public comes with it's own set of challenges and regulatory requirements. It just doesn't make sense for us at the moment when our primary goals are user acquisition growth and engagement."
In any case, it looks like BamPoker is doing fine just where they are right now. Furthermore, Anderson seems to be working the same magic as she did before with a site that's now known as Americas Cardroom.
