Annette Obrestad makes Big Business Deal
2012-04-22 12:44 by Olsdog
Annette Obrestad is certainly one of the most unique talents in the poker world, having made a name for herself online as before even turning 18. Apparently, Poker Royalty has noticed Obrestad's interesting career since they signed a deal to represent the 23-year-old in business-related matters.
This is pretty big news because Poker Royalty represents some of the industry's most famous players such as Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Scotty Nguyen and Carlos Mortensen.
After signing the contract with Poker Royalty, Obrestad was ecstatic as she said, "I am thrilled to announce I am officially signed to Poker Royalty. I have known about the company for a few years and know their positive reputation in the business is well deserved. I am relying on them to help me advance my poker career to the next level."
Poker Royalty's director of European operations, Jim Erwood, also spoke about signing the 2007 WSOPE Main Event champion as he said, "Annette is without question one of the biggest names in poker and certainly one of the top few females in the world playing the game today. Poker Royalty is extremely proud and delighted to announce Annette’s signing and is looking forward to helping her cement her reputation in the game."
Obrestad has been relevant in the poker community since playing online games as a 15-year-old under the handle "Annette_15". As mentioned before, she won the 2007 WSOPE Main Event ($2,013,734), and has accumulated $3,738,569 - despite being just 23!
Lately, she's been in the news a lot because people have been comparing 18-year-old Veronika Pavlikova to her after Pavlikova won the 2012 France Poker Series Snowfest Main Event.
