Poker Babe Melanie Weisner wins First Tournament

Melanie Weisner has already had a fairly good poker career that now includes $550,901 in live tournament winnings and another $594,645 in online tourney earnings.

But the one thing that has always escaped this poker hottie is a live tournament win. However, she took care of this over the weekend at the WPT Emperors Poker Classic in South Africa.

Weisner defeated a 133-player field in a $1k Six-Handed NL Hold'em tournament to capture the $41,289 top prize. Assuming you'd like to see some nice pictures of this newly-crowned champion, you can check them out here.

Weisner wasn't the only female to capture a big tourney win this weekend since Vanessa Selbst also experienced the winner's circle once again.

She won a $5k NL Hold'em event at Fiesta Al Lago and netted a $90,693 top prize. With the victory, Selbst now has $5,579,616 in live tournament winnings and she's inching closer to Kathy Liebert for the all-time women's lead.
